I was born on September 16, 1988. At the age of 15 I was overweight and I lacked the ability to physically
keep up with my high school classmates. I decided to take control of my health by losing weight and
becoming the fittest version of myself. This soon became an obsession and therefore I became certified
as a personal trainer at the age of 18. My first job as a fitness trainer was working for a women’s fitness
gym and then eventually working for a north east gym chain. I believe that fitness is more than just
aesthetics, I believe fitness is a gateway to a longer, happier, and healthier quality of life. By focusing on
proper nutrition, exercise, and mental health we can prevent the onset of many diseases that plague our
population (diabetes, heart disease, obesity, etc.).
I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science at Rutgers University and my Masters of Science in
Biomedical Sciences at Rowan University. In between getting my bachelors and masters I chose to obtain
my Strength and Conditioning Specialist license. Fitness and Nutrition is the cornerstone of Preventative
Medicine; I wanted to focus my efforts on understanding the science of how disease manifests in
populations and come up with preventative measures that can combat its onset. Much like my obsession
with fitness, this understanding led to my obsession for teaching students. I became a tutor for several
courses at Rowan Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. This spark led me to become an Adjunct
Professor for Anatomy and Physiology at Middlesex County College. My motto is, “Apply your education
to help others!” and I feel that I have a responsibility to use my education to help individuals achieve a
better quality of life.

My name is Jonathan Aaron Deck and I am the Founder of JG Corporate Wellness.
I was born Sept 1st, 1983. The short version is that one day around the age of 14 I had enough of
being “slightly” overweight and not happy with my physical fitness. I discovered weightlifting and
strength training in high school sports and never looked back. I quickly became obsessed with the
science and the art of the human body, the muscles and how exercise and nutrition can positively
affect every aspect of our lives.
With a degree in Business Management from Kean University 2007, I found myself shortly after
running a training department at a well known Northeast Gym Chain. I quickly excelled in all metrics
because I loved helping people take control of their health and fitness. Enhancing lives through diet
and exercise became my profession.
After which I decided it was time to spend some years working in the B2B market place and learn to
hone more networking and sale skills. I have been with two top sales companies in North America
and was employed as an outside business to business sales rep for a GLOBAL S&P 500 company.
During the years of my sales career my devotion and love for wellness persisted and I found myself
competing in body building shows. I have competed in numerous shows since 2003 and still do it to
this day. I have won several local and regional level championships and have recently placed 3rd at
national level events. I am considered a top ranked national level competitor in my bodybuilding career
and will continue to excel at it for life.
In addition to this my conviction for health and wellness was so strong that I decided to write and
publish an e-book, “You’re Not Fat, You’re Just Doing It Wrong.”
Now, I take all that I have learned in life through my experiences in my passion for fitness and my
desire to be a business professional and hone it towards my calling in life. That is why; JG Corporate
Wellness will become a top player in the CORPORATE WELLNESS INDUSTRY. My goal is to make
corporate America fit, healthy, and more productive than ever before. My desire to make a positive
impact on people’s lives and make a real difference for companies everywhere all over America is
the next chapter in my life.
